Alaska - Here we Come!

Our Anchorage Home Away From Home

On Friday, 12/29/2006, we fly for Anchorage. It was over a nine hour flight from Boston. We arrived that day at 2:30 PM, just in time to get the rental car and find our place before sunset. The flight in was spectacular. Anchorage is surrounded by snow capped mountains on one side and the ocean on the other.

We found our apartment. The Alaskan Family Medicine Residency is housing us in a dormitory at the University of Alaska Campus. It is a great place. It is a suite that we share with 3 other rooms. Just like Maine, we have the entire place to ourselves (at least right now we do). The kitchen and suite is fully furnished. The best part is that they keep it at 70 degrees. Nice and toasty!
