WHITTIER, AK

When Chris's parents came to visit we went on a trip to Whittier and Cordova. We drove up to Whittier, only about a 1 hour drive from Anchorage. Whittier is a very small town on the ocean - a lot of cruise ships go out from here. We caught the ferry to Cordova here.

Chris thinks he will try to push me in the water - no way, that water is freezing!

There's the train - there is also a train that you can take to Whittier - it's a really pretty ride. You have to go through a one lane tunnel that goes through the middle of the mountain to get to Whittier. We had to wait while the train went through and then it was our turn. The tunnel's really long, about 2 miles.
